Milwaukee only makes a small percentage of its products in the USA. Their website states that they have manufacturing plants in China and Europe as well as America. They have their main American facility in Brookfield, Wisconsin, and in three Mississippi cities: Greenwood, Jackson, and Olive Branch.

Unfortunately, the trend of going international in the tool industry is very widespread. Milwaukee Tool is expanding their U.S. manufacturing presence in addition to international expansion. They announced in December 2017 a significant expansion in their Mississippi factories. This was their fourth expansion in Mississippi since 2012 and one that created over 600 new jobs for American workers. Additionally, they also seem committed to Wisconsin and have recently expanded those facilities.

These are positive signs for Milwaukee, and could point to recent strong financials. U.S. manufacturing tends to be more expensive than labor and materials from overseas. We can only hope that Milwaukee Tool will continue to invest in U.S. facilities for many years to come.
