Is Cub Cadet Made In USA?

Why is it so difficult to find USA-made power equipment for outdoor use? Well, it's not. It's just that people say it's hard because no one has made a solid USA list. This is changing now and we've got you covered.

About Cub Cadet:

IH Cub Cadet was a premium small tractor line, which was established in 1960 by International Harvester. IH Cub Cadet was an innovative line of small heavy-duty tractors that used components from the previous Cub series.

IH sold the Cub Cadet Division to the MTD corporation in 1981 due to financial difficulties. The Cub Cadet Corporation was a wholly-owned subsidiary of MTD. It produced Cub Cadets for lawn dealers (branded as Cub Cadet Corporation tractor), and IH agricultural dealers in red/white livery until 1985 when the IH ag unit was sold to Tenneco.

IH Cub Cadet was first introduced to rural homeowners with large yards and private gardens in the 1960s. Cub Cadet also offered a range of after-market attachments and brand-named Cub Cadet products, such as mowers, blades and snow blowers, front loaders and plows.

In 2018, the industrial power tool maker Stanley Black & Decker bought a small stake in MTD Products worth $234 millions to try and capture a greater share of outdoor gardening equipment market.
